KNEC Marking 2023 Terminates.
Candidates who sat for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) are expecting results at anytime starting next week as it was scheduled by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
Following that release the candidates have high hopes that the results will be errors free basing as it was witnessed with KCPE examination release.
Considering the recent news, KNEC emphatically asserts that no one can influence the scores of any national examination hence, strong warning to students and parents cautioning them against falling victim to fraudsters who claim to have the ability to adjust KCSE scores.
This dismissal is after circulation of news in social media platforms, whereby scammers are asking kshs 9,000 plus index number of candidates for purported KCSE upgrading scores.
“Be cautious and do not fall victim to fraudsters claiming to adjust KCSE scores. It is important to note that absolutely no one can influence the scores of any national examination,” KNEC reveals.
Candidates who sat for these examinations were 903,600 whereby they started with projects on January to July 2023 which were manned by subject teachers, Centre Manager, Director of Education and KNEC Officials.
Oral, practicals and theory papers followed from 23rd October to 24th November,2023 of which Centre Managers, Supervisors, Invigilators, Quality Assurance Officers, Directors of Education and KNEC Officials were in charge and all these activities were conducted at examination centres.
Marking of examination was scheduled to take place from 27th November to 11th December,2023 in KNEC Marking centres by KNEC examiners
Thereafter, the release of examination which will be spearhead by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu being assisted by top officials drawn from the Ministry of Education, KNEC, TSC, and Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development(KICD) which will take place from 16th to 22nd December, 2023 at KNEC Headquarters famously termed as Mtihani House.
Both KCSE and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment ( KPSEA ) is done marking but KPSEA candidates will get their results in schools come January in certificate form.
“Still candidates wait examination results in fear due to examination malpractice incidents which were noticed hence afraid that they may face tough marking or degrading which will hinder them from joining good universities as their desire to take good courses, ” educationmattersnews Lamented.
