Good news to KCPE candidates who sat for examination in 2023 as placement has been completed and it was done based on the candidates’ performance.

Most students will join various schools depending their performance like schools are classified as either National, Extra-County, County and Sub-County schools.
Following the different categories of schools, candidates who scored 400 marks and above are given the first opportunities to enter national schools since have higher privilege as proved by their performance.
However, we are expecting more candidates who did not manage to score 400 marks to join national schools because there are 136 national schools in Kenya and out of these 35 are special needs education secondary schools which in overall carries more than 30,000 students leading to shortages if they consider only 400 marks and above.
It is also remarked that students who sat for KCPE 2023 and managed to score 280 marks and above have been served with good news.
From the Ministry of Education following the lastest revelation from the government it has been disclosed from reliable sources of information and social media platforms that students with 280 marks and above will receive scholarships which will initiate smooth transfer from primary education to secondary education.
Mainly to boost and facilitate needy and vulnerable cases of students as arising before from some families which is dated on 12th December, 2023 by the ministry.
” The Ministry of Education through the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation (JKF) and Equity Group Foundation is awarding Secondary School Elimu Scholarships in all 47 counties to needy and vulnerable learners who attained 280 marks and above in the 2023 KCPE examination,” The ministry revealed.
