Technical University of Kenya is one of Kenya’s top public universities offering quality post-secondary education for Kenyans and foreign nationals. The university is located within Nairobi central business district, along Haile Seasie avenue.
The university has made exemplary strides since it was chartered. Today, the university joins other public and private universities in granting its learners the power to read and write. The university is currently holding its 12th graduation ceremony at the city center campus. The event has been marked by a colorful display with top academicians from the institution and beyond gracing the event.

The 12th graduation ceremony is the first for the current vice-chancellor, Professor Mutua who took over from the long-serving vice chancellor Professor Aduol. We congratulate all those graduating from the Technical University of Kenya today.
“Allow me Mr. Chancellor sir in another special way to thank the founding vice chancellor of this great University Professor/Doctor/Engineer Francis Aduol… ,for the central role that he played in the establishment and development of this University, professor Aduol put his efforts, energies and commitment to build this University from a college to a university college and then to the Technical University of Kenya,” Professor Mutua’s speech read on appreciating.
It has stood on this ground for the past six decades, producing several craftsmen, technicians, engineers, scientists and a vast variety of professionals. The institution was formerly a polytechnic and was awarded a charter as a fully fledged university during the tenure of the former president Mwai Kibaki.
