Students who qualified for the university entry grade were 201,133 meaning they scored C+ and above, if the Ministry of Education will not change the cluster points clearly they are likely to join public universities.
Looking at top students, only 1,216 students managed to score grade A(Plain) while candidates who were 48,174 scored a mean grade of E this shows a large disparities between the two grades.
Mathematically the extreme tail of the examination was higher compared to the head hence rising a lot of concern if real students cheated on this examination.
According, four cases were cancelled basing the examination irregularities which were spotted from 2023 candidates.
The summary shows a great improvement basing the new grading system as compared to last year’s KCSE, but later more effort is support to be put for the current generation.
