From the release done last week more candidates are eagerly waiting to join colleges and universities of their choice:with a strong statement in the evening directed at all Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates, the Kenyan government broke its silence today.
Speaking through the Ministry of Education, the Kenyan government announced today, January 14, 2024, that all candidates for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) cannot take the exam while enrolled in school.

All Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates must now wait until the Ministry of Education announces the exact dates for starting applications before beginning the application process for placement at universities and colleges, according to a mandate issued by the Kenyan government.
As per the updated procedure for financing academic establishments, the Kenyan government has revealed that following their KCSE examinations, candidates will be required to select a choice.
The Kenyan Government stated that KCSE candidates will select programs based on costs per program as listed in the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) online application system after a new funding model is implemented.
This comes after the Ministry of Education banned the application of university places by candidates while they are still in school, yet the government demanding to them to wait for their results before selecting colleges and universities of choice.
