2023 Candidates Universities Intake.
Following the KCSE 2023 candidates last year, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has provided clarification on the university application dates for the 2024 intake, addressing earlier reports.
In a notice shared on Sunday, KUCCPS stated that the application process for 2024 has not commenced yet but we are still waiting for more clarification.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu had earlier hinted at the imminent commencement of the 2024 intake process, though specific dates were not provided during his announcement. He mentioned ongoing plans to establish criteria for fund allocation in areas such as capitation and other finances.
KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer, Agnes Wahome, emphasized the placement board’s commitment to ensuring a seamless placement process. She disclosed that the application portal would be opened, but the procedure would be comprehensive, especially amid extensive reforms in the education sector. Wahome outlined steps involving the scrutiny of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and the verification of accredited courses offered by universities and higher learning institutions.
This comes after students raising questions from source of information, media liking to get to join earlier as the economy is getting tough.
Confusion arose due to the implementation of the new grading system in the 2023 KCSE results. KUCCPS, in response to unconfirmed information from various sources, issued multiple clarifications to dispel uncertainties surrounding the application dates.
The notice from KUCCPS serves to rectify any misconceptions and guide candidates and stakeholders in anticipating the upcoming application process.
KCSE candidates who did KNEC last year 2023 are urged to be patient inorder to get more information and get updated daily.
