What are the admission requirements for one to pursue the degree of Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science?
Generally all candidates must satisfy the University’s admission criteria for Undergraduate programmes but the following minimum requirements need to be met depending on one’s academic level too as follows;
KCSE CANDIDATES
They must have obtained a minimum grade of B (Plain) and should have gotten a minimum grade of B+ (Plus) in Mathematics.
A – LEVEL CANDIDATES
They should be in possession of Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with two principal passes in:
Mathematics/Physics
Mathematics/Chemistry
Mathematics/Geography or
Mathematics/Economics
DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER STUDIES/STATISTICS/EDUCATION
A candidate with a diploma in Computer Studies, Education or Statistics having majored in Mathematics or its equivalent with a minimum pass at credit level from an institution which can be recognized by the University Senate having achieved a C (Plain) grade at KCSE level.
BACHELOR’S DEGREE PROSPECTS
Holders of a Bachelor’s degree from institutions recognized by the University Senate with a strong mathematics background are also considered for admission.
