KANU CHAIRMAN GRACING THE 19TH GRADUATION CEREMONY.
Former senator acting as the deputy-chancellor of the Kabarak varsity having been appointed by his late father, Daniel Moi Kanu chairman Gideon Moi has once again made a public appearance after months of silence.
Moi was seen making his entry to Kabarak University for the 19th graduation ceremony which is having 1869 graduates accompanied by his brother Raymond Moi.
He is the pro-chancellor of the varsity having been appointed to the position by his father, the late president Daniel Moi in 2017, inorder to strengthen the education in university of Kabarak.
During the 19th graduation ceremony in December of the same year, he was honoured for his exemplary service to humanity during his time in government and in his political career which began in 2002.
The former Baringo senator was also conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters, he said that the university has produced the highest number of graduates since the year 2000 when the university started.
He now acts as a deputy to the chancellor and a practical chairman of the university council, Gideon acknowledged the Commission for University Education (CUE) for accrediting the Nakuru City Campus.http://www.cue.or.ke
” Accreditation of Kabarak University Nakuru City Campus, by the Commission of the University Education (CUE) as not come as a surprise. Is the adjustment to the high quality standards which is synonymous to Kabarak University,” the Pro-Chancellor speech read.
During the ceremony former chief justice David Maraga will be conferred with Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa).
“The Conferment is a fitting recognition of his extraordinary contribution to our nation and the legal profession, spanning forty-five (45) years as an Advocate of the High Court, 13 years of which he spent as Judge of the High Court and Court of Appeal and four (4) years as Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kenya,” reads a notice.
