Urgent Crisis to be Solved in Education.
As addressed currently, education sector as been surrounded by many problems of which others the Ministry of Education has taken assumption to give the solutions.
Educational is one of the most crucial sector in any country because it enlightens the young generation and bring out productive generation in the future which will provide resources for a country to grow. Hence, it has been reported that education is now facing a lot of crisis as listed below;
1. Questions on credibility of national examinations results,
Both KCPE and KCSE has raised alarms whereby candidates have been left unsatisfied with their results.
2. Piling debts in institutions,
As seen in most colleges and universities leading to poor services to learners. Equally as well to high school also faces problems of imbalances in allocation of funds.
3. Stretched facilities,
Some institutions have inadequate facilities that can support the large population which has lead to scrambling and also poor facilities.
4. High drop out rates,
High school fees discouraging parents to invest in education as the end result is not appetizing.
5. Staffing shortages,
As witnessed the current cases of promotion, more vacancies are left empty without replacement for teaching staff, hence more straining for teachers.
6. Junior Secondary school troubles among other issues.
The government of Kenya has thus a lot to do in order to ensure that education sector is checked on by employing enough teaching staff, disbursing education money on time, ensuring that there is credibility in national examinations among others. With that, education will be on the right position where every child benefit from it.
We hope education sector will be a corruption free zone as been witnessed early before, stay tuned.
